Have a listen below to some Wave Ukes and compare how various woods result in different tones!

All were recorded using a modest Mic with no effects or coloration added! Click on info to see wood description for each audio clip.

Some general characteristics of various woods:

- Maple back and sides result in a bit more bite and ping in the overall sound!

- Walnut back and sides offer a full and warmer tone

- Spruce tops are full and warm with good attacking volume

- Cedar tops are very warm and round sounding with lots of bottom end
